Formerly this school is divided into three, namely Hamlet SD 1, SD Hamlet 2, SD Tawang juice, but in 2003 in mergers and formed into one SD N Gedong Kiwo.
SD N Gedong Kiwo there are 12 study groups and there are 360 students studying in elementary N Gedong Kiwo. That exist among other extracurricular dance, marching band, Gymnastics, takraw, Voly, and IT
The number of total teaching staff is 41 people (teachers and GTT).
Accomplishments ever achieved was in 2007 won the gymnastics national level in Jakarta ranked 16th out of 144 participants in Indonesia.

Play Group "Aisyiyah" located at Jl. Hamlet MJ I/1405 Yogyakarta 55142 tel. (0274) 7875133. Established since July 2009. Although relatively new stand, but this play group has 19 students who tebagi into 2 classes. Class divisions based on age, ie age 2-3 and age 3-4. There are 3 people lecturer who co-ordinated by Mrs. Ida.
