• 1. to develop an awareness and understanding of Japan as a nation and the principle of sovereignty (Untuk mengembangkan kesadaran dan pemahaman tentang Jepang sebagai sebuah negara dan prinsip kedaulatan)
• 2. to develop a concept of local community and the state and ways in which the individual can contribute to the work of the community and the state (Untuk mengembangkan suatu konsep tentang masyarakat lokal dan negara serta cara bagaimana setiap individu dapat berkontribusi dalam satu pekerjaan di masyarakat dan negara)
• 3. to appreciate rights and responsibilities and duties of the individual in the community and wider society (Untuk menghargai hak dan tanggungjawab serta tugas dari individu dalam suatu komunitas dan masyarakat yang lebih luas)
• 4. to develop an ability to act positively in relation to rights and duties (untuk mengembangkan kemampuan untuk bertindak secara positif dalam hubungan antara hak dan kewajiban)
